This is the sesquicentennial of the memorial for David O. Dodd, the Boy Martyr of the Confederacy, in Little Rock, AR. At the age of 18 David Owen Dodd was hanged in Little Rock on 1/8/1864 as a Confederate spy. The day’s events will begin with a march of one mile from the McArthur Military Museum to Mount Holly Cemetery by Confederate reenactors. A grave side service will be led by Phil McMath at the cemetery. The McArthur Military Museum will host programs about David O. Dodd presented by Dr. Carl Moneyhon, Anthony Rushing and Stephen McAteer, museum director.
